Jameson Publishing and Business Solutions magazine President Jim Roddy talks to David Silverglide, co-founder of Split Bread and Mixt Greens, in this Executive-To-Executive interview conducted at the Money2020 conference, held Oct. 6-10, 2013 at the Aria in Las Vegas.

From his experiences as owner of the popular California restaurants — that are cash free and feature QR-code ordering — he recognizes that there has been a shift for retail. “The consumers are driving the bus right now. We’re just riding along,” says Silverglide. “So for us, when it catches on with the consumers, we have to get on board with it.”

He says solutions providers be a valuable partner to retailers. “I expect them to be more knowledgeable than me. Technology is not my business. It should be their business. I look to them as a trusted partner.”
